Spring time offers us all a chance to dust off the old and bring in the new, Spring cleaning and all that jazz. Its at this time of year that I often find myself going through my wardrobe looking to update any of my clothes which are looking a little tired, adding badges here, maybe changing a strap or shortening sleeves and that sort of thing. The sun has come out and its a great chance to experiment with some clothes and spruce them up for summer time!

I also do the same with jewellery, but I find it a little more difficult. You can’t simply start cutting bits of a pair of earrings, or sticking new accoutrements onto a ring or bangle unless you’re a skilled jeweller, or happy to go out with a Blue Peter style necklace made from all the bits you have lying around your house. Instead there is one thing I can quickly make a few alterations to and bring about that spring change which I so desperately want as we slip into a generally more pleasant time of year, and that’s my charm bracelet. Simply by slipping off a couple of the old charms which I’m a little tired of and getting in a couple of new ones, including a swarovski crystal charm to add a little colour and zing and voila I have a new look in a couple of minutes, so hurrah to charm bracelets , new clothes and a clutter-free life, spring is here, bring on the sun
