Ahh…! The things that interests and impresses some people. There is a small continent discovered and a nation or more founded as a result of want for a better way to get to India. Today however nearly all the riches that India has for sale can be found online. This includes gold jewellery. For those that find themselves with a piqued interest in the silver and gold bangle options of that far-off land there is a website that can connect you with what you are looking for.

Each listing at Bombay Jewelry dot com provides the visitor with a textual description of the piece. It also includes a color photograph that shows the visitor what the piece looks like. These two combined often provide you with more than sufficient information to determine if the piece is proper for you. If you find that you are still uncertain there is a telephone number and a contact form available on the website. You may be surprised to learn that despite providing you with authentic silver bangle pieces and other Indian gold jewelry options the headquarters is in the United States of America.

For many that is cause for a sigh of relief. There is also a refund and exchange policy that you can view on the website. All these reasons to go ahead and purchase may be just what you need to take advantage of the affordable prices.

Spring time offers us all a chance to dust off the old and bring in the new, Spring cleaning and all that jazz. Its at this time of year that I often find myself going through my wardrobe looking to update any of my clothes which are looking a little tired, adding badges here, maybe changing a strap or shortening sleeves and that sort of thing. The sun has come out and its a great chance to experiment with some clothes and spruce them up for summer time!

I also do the same with jewellery, but I find it a little more difficult. You can’t simply start cutting bits of a pair of earrings, or sticking new accoutrements onto a ring or bangle unless you’re a skilled jeweller, or happy to go out with a Blue Peter style necklace made from all the bits you have lying around your house. Instead there is one thing I can quickly make a few alterations to and bring about that spring change which I so desperately want as we slip into a generally more pleasant time of year, and that’s my charm bracelet. Simply by slipping off a couple of the old charms which I’m a little tired of and getting in a couple of new ones, including a swarovski crystal charm to add a little colour and zing and voila I have a new look in a couple of minutes, so hurrah to charm bracelets , new clothes and a clutter-free life, spring is here, bring on the sun

Name necklaces make the perfect ice breaker. Just think about it…most guys are useless at chatting girls up. How many times have you been out with mates and guys come across to try and impress you, but all that follows is a string of chat-up line cliches. Some of them will at least offer you a drink, but ultimately they are still a complete stranger. Well wearing your name on a necklace has proven to be a great ice breaker for me. Yeah sure you still get the cheesy chat-up lines, but as soon as they can act all smart by showing that they know what your name is (because you have your name hung as a name pendant on a chain) then its amazing how the chat flows a lot more naturally, and as we all know natural flowing chat is a definite winner when it comes to meeting new guys. There’s just nothing worse than feeling like a guy is using the same rehearsed lines on you as he has on so many other girls that night. Remember to mention you realise name necklaces are so popular after the carrie necklace appeared on Sex in the City.

Also by wearing a name necklace you can mark yourself out from the crowd. It must be intimidating for guys looking around a bar thinking of which girls they should try and impress. They can always take the easy option and go for the girls with the shortest skirts who are obviously up for a little bit of fun, or go for the drunk girl in the corner who doesn’t look fussy either. By wearing a name necklace you also make yourself an easy target for flattery, but for all the right reasons, they already know your name so it just makes it that much easier to chat to you, you are somehow less intimidating!

So my verdict ladies is this: if you are fed up with either being ignored by guys when you are on a night out, or being chatted up in a stale and rehearsed manner by guys who don’t have anything original to say then you can either stay at home, or you can wear a name necklace instead. Job done.

With an enormous range of charms on offer in high street stores and online it is increasingly difficult to know what to buy, especially if you want to turn a fashion accessory into a possible collectors piece of the future. Antiques shops are filled with antique charm bracelets and antique charms which have been passed down from generation to generation and they now command a very high price in auctions and in antiques shops. So if you are looking to buy a contemporary charm bracelet, what should you be looking out for if you want it to be a collectable of the future?

Ideally you want to find something with general aesthetic appeal. The vast majority of girls who buy charms do so because they want to buy one which is personal, something which they can relate to, and one which they think reflects on their personality and the way in which the world looks at them. That is all very well, but if you want a charm which will become a collectable antique then you also want something with sufficient universal appeal that others will want to collect it and cherish it also.

Your charm has to be well made, or if you are buying an entire charm bracelet, it has to be of a high quality, ideally with the links soldered rather than just hung on a lobster clasp. Quality is an incredibly important factor in determining whether something will become a sought after antique in the future. Related to quality is the issue of what the charms and charm bracelet is made of. Whilst silver plate items are much cheaper to buy nowadays, ideally you want to buy a sterling silver charm if you want something which will retain its value over time. Sterling silver charms are much more sought after in today’s antiques market because they are of a very high quality, and likewise the antique charms of the future will be sterling silver charms and not plastic, plated or base metal ones.

Christening presents generally always have three things in common: they cost a lot; the person who receives them generally has no interest, nor will ever develop an interest in them; they invariably do not have any constructive use other than that of a mere gift item, and you can hardly give away something which a loved one or a godparent has generously entrusted to you when you were all but a screaming babe (quite apart from the fact that they might well have got the damn thing engraved thereby rendering it even less useful as a potential gift or heirloom of the future).

Thus were my thoughts when I recently went about thinking of something to get for a new nephew to celebrate his coming into the world. Having asked around amongst my peers several standard christening gifts were raised, but it was not until I came upon the idea of giving my brother’s new bundle of joy a sterling silver money clip that I decided not all christening gifts would go on to be discarded in some drawer somewhere. Indeed the idea of giving him a money clip seemed to become quite a popular one amongst my friends many of whom I have recently discovered actually own and regularly use a money clip themselves. Far from being an gift outdated item, they appear to be coming back into fashion and mainly for their practical use as well as the obvious ‘looking cool’ element. Of my friends who own money clips most of them use them because they have slim wallets good for carrying nothing but plastic (I have already mentioned the ‘looking cool’) and whilst coins can jangle in trouser pockets there is nothing worse, one of them explained, than having loose notes floating about your person.

Having marveled at the fact that modern trends reflected a degree of practicality as well as mere fashion statements I decided to go ahead and get my nephew a sterling silver money clip engraved with his initials and date of birth (well I wouldn’t want him to give it away would I?) before promptly opting for a 9ct gold money clip for myself.
